After 12 years, our journey under the SCIS banner is coming to an end. Anička has chosen an art course at the conservatory, necessary for the next direction in life. Over such a long period of time, we can evaluate the growth of our daughter and the school itself. The Czech-English program, the individual approach, the number of pupils in the class, the family environment, the connection of the kindergarten to the primary school and the availability of the school in the place of residence were essential for us in our selection. Over the years we have made sure that our choice was the right one. The education is set from kindergarten onwards and the native speakers teach the children to use the English language very spontaneously. The teachers and school management have always known the individual pupils, their needs and the communication with the parents has complemented the whole system well. Feedback both ways improves the student environment constantly. The school has grown with a new gymnasium, a new building, new teachers, and interesting projects. We have to say that this is not a school for everyone. Increasing demands, compulsory exams, funding, time-consuming class schedules are factors to be reckoned with. Today we can see that our efforts have paid off and our daughter is very well prepared for further education. We would like to continue to work with the school, participate in social events and maintain our friendships. We keep our fingers crossed for the owner, Alice Štunda, the teachers, the pupils, all the staff and the parents in maintaining the family environment and in continuing to grow and be satisfied with the results. And finally, we must thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your excellent cooperation, understanding, help in difficult life stages and for the good years spent in a friendly atmosphere. May the sun continue to shine on Sunny Canadian International School!

1. Transferring the children from another private school to SCIS was the best decision we could have made for them. One transferred to Grade 2, the other to Grade 5, they knew almost no English, yet thanks to the help of the teachers at Sunny Canadian, they were able to get up to the level of their classmates who have been here since kindergarten in a very short time. Now they have been at the school for 7 years and we have to say that this school is number one for us.  2. So many positive people in one place, you just don't see that. The school is made by the teachers, at every school there are good and not so good teachers, at this school the good ones clearly prevail. As a teacher I have seen many schools, but this one is really special. I really like the opportunities the children have here. With the multicultural environment, they have a great outlook and a lot of options for their future thanks to the AP program at the high school.

I am extremely satisfied with the teaching and care that my son Hugo, as a 4th grade student, receives at Sunny Canadian International School in Zdiměřice. The school provides an environment where my son feels happy, supported, and motivated to reach his full potential. The teachers at Sunny are enthusiastic about teaching and extracurricular activities, and willing to attend to the individual needs of each student. I believe that choosing Sunny Canadian for my son's education was one of the best decisions we could have made. Hugo is extremely happy with the interactive teaching methods used by his teachers. For example, he was recently excited about a project in which he was able to present his own experimental work to the class. This activity allowed him to show his creativity and self-confidence while learning how to present his ideas to others. Not only did this experience boosted his confidence but also motivated him to continue exploring and learning. Hugo has become so deeply integrated into the Sunny Canadian community that the thought of changing schools is his biggest punishment. This fact reigns so strongly in his life that it sometimes becomes a threat I use when he is not motivated enough to prepare or work. One mention of this possibility and Hugo is immediately alert and ready to get to work. It's clear that the connection to SCIS and classmates is of vital importance to him and is a strong motivator for him to succeed in his studies. We chose Sunny primarily because of the existence of bilingual classes.  Children from primary school onwards speak and write English with such fluency that you could consider them native speakers. Instructions to other foreign languages are added seamlessly throughout the course of study. Nevertheless, the school has not forgotten the importance of the Czech curriculum. This gives students the opportunity not only to improve their English, but also to study Czech grammar, history, and other subjects from the Czech curriculum. This balanced approach of the school allows students to receive a comprehensive education and opens the door to international understanding and success. Sunny Canadian includes a four-year high school, upon graduation, graduates have a wide range of options when choosing colleges both in the Czech Republic and abroad, especially with the AP International Diploma and AP Capstone programs. The school is performance-oriented from the start and encourages the development of study skills in its students. As a result, students quickly acquire the methodologies and strategies needed to learn successfully, providing them with a strong foundation for future academic and professional growth. This preparation is the key to enabling graduates to further their educational and career success.

Our two daughters, Eliška and Anička attend SCIS. Eliška is in her second year at a 4-year high school, which she transferred to after passing the regular entrance exams from an 8-year grammar school. Although the 8-year grammar school was also private, the difference in teaching and the approach of the teachers was worlds apart. At SCIS, the student is a partner with the teacher. There is a mutual cooperation and respect between the teacher and student. The students are actively involved in their learning. Activities outside the classroom, trips, thematic events, are always perfectly planned and the children enjoy them. Anička attends the second grade of elementary school. Ever since she was first admitted to first grade, she was enthusiastic and liked everything about school. And what about when she found out what a fantastic class teacher she has. Anička really enjoys school. Her classmates and her are a good team and the teacher is patient and helpful in every difficult situation. The children love her. When we first visited the school, my husband and I were impressed by the friendly atmostphere. Additionaly, we always have a good time at any school events organized by SCIS. Our children receive quality education at SCIS. Through the school’s philosophy students develop respect and empathy towards others. Thank you to the entire SCIS team, you are awesome!
